Kala Nera is a beautiful and very popular coastal village in Pelion, and is a perfect destination for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. On the coast of the Pagasitic Gulf, you can enjoy swimming and relaxing on the beach and enjoy the crystal clear waters. The beach of Kala Nera has been awarded the "Blue Flag" for it's excellent waters.

Kala Nera is well equipped to cater for tourism and holiday makers, and being just 18 km from the city of Volos, it is very easy to reach. The village is one that attracts a large number of visitors each year, and is also a great base from which you can head off and explore some of the other surrounding parts of Pelion.

You will find a great choice of accommodation in the village including hotels, studios and apartments. The main coastal road of the village is where you will find a wide selection of places to eat and drink.

Further south of Kala Nera is the traditional fishing village Milina, which is located on the Pagasitic Gulf, about 50km from the city of Volos.

It is an extremely beautiful village where you can enjoy some wonderful mountain and sea views from the main boulevard. You'll also see the small islands of Prasouda and Alatas, both of which can be reached by boat, and where you can discover some lovely deserted beaches and hamlets.

You will find an excellent tourism infrastructure in Milina with lots of places to enjoy something to eat and drink, accommodation and various activities.

It is also a great base from which to venture out and explore some of the beautiful surrounding parts of South Pelion, including the traditional fishing hamlets of Agia Kyriaki and Kottes, and the famous mountain village of Trikeri.
